该片由“小黄人之父”、照明娱乐CEO克里斯托弗·麦雷丹德瑞担任制片人，史蒂夫·卡瑞尔、朱莉·安德鲁斯、拉塞尔·布兰德、杨紫琼等参与配音，其中，杨紫琼将在片中为会功夫的针灸师周大师配音。
《小黄人大眼萌2：神偷奶爸前传》已开启中国内地预售，“三小只”凯文、斯图尔特、鲍勃首秀中国功夫，无影脚、铁头功样样行，化身飞行员开飞机，携手对抗恶霸拯救小老大格鲁，捣蛋搞怪又笑料云集，将于8月19日上映。
